About Me

I completed my Undergraduate Honours Degree in Psychology at Leeds University, followed by Postgraduate Diplomas in Counselling Psychology and the Practice of Counselling Psychology as well as a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology at Roehampton University, London. I have worked in both private practice and the NHS. My private practice has been running since 2006.
If we decide to start working together I will keep our therapeutic relationship at the centre of my practice. I will work with you to empower you to make changes in your life and, where relevant, to make decisions about the process of your therapy. I offer a safe non-judgemental space where you can gain more understanding and self-awareness, enabling you to find better ways to cope, manage difficulties and make healthier choices.
Chartered Counselling Psychologists are professional applied psychologists concerned with the integration of psychological theory and research with therapeutic practice. The practice of counselling psychology requires a high level of self-awareness and competence in relating the skills and knowledge of personal and interpersonal dynamics to the therapeutic context.
As a Counselling Psychologist I use a holistic stance, which involves examining the issues presented by you, within the wider context of what has given rise to them. I will work collaboratively with you to explore underlying issues, help you gain personal insight and empower you to consider change.
